APPC

Asociația “Părinți pentru copii” (APPC) (Câmpia Turzii, Romania) is a community-based association bringing together parents and local professionals—including educators, social workers, doctors, police officers, priests, and grandparents—to support the wellbeing and education of the local community across generations.

Founded in 2008 as the outcome of a grant initiative (“Together with parents for our children”), APPC’s mission is to improve the quality and effectiveness of education in line with EU standards, mobilise resources for educational and community activities, and promote the best interests of children, parents, adults, and seniors through cooperation with civil society and local/national/international organisations.

APPC operates within Școala Gimnazială “Avram Iancu” in Câmpia Turzii and uses the school’s facilities to deliver activities (e.g., event hall, computer lab, classrooms, gym, smart boards and other learning materials), enabling practical community engagement and accessible learning opportunities.

In adult education, APPC holds an Erasmus+ accreditation (KA120-ADU) for the period 01/02/2025–31/12/2027, supporting adult learners, parents and staff development through international learning opportunities and capacity building.

EIMBG

European Institute for Modern Board Games (EIMBG) (Valladolid, Spain) is an educational organisation created by board game enthusiasts with more than a decade of experience applying games to learning across different age groups. Its founding team—university PhDs—has participated in European and regional initiatives through academic and non-profit collaborations, and the institute was established to specialise in board game-based learning and gamification, methodologies they also apply in higher education settings.

EIMBG is committed to inclusive, engaging learning experiences with lasting impact. The organisation provides training for facilitators, supports schools and community organisations in educational innovation, and designs game-based and gamified learning tools. EIMBG has also designed serious games for European projects, creating educational board games and gamified environments aligned with project objectives and measurable outcomes.

The team brings over 20 years of combined experience in education and has validated its approaches with learners in primary, vocational, and higher education. In addition, EIMBG previously delivered an innovation project in care homes with older adults (as a time-limited project intervention), generating valuable insights on engagement and wellbeing in later life.

EIMBG’s gamification proposals have received international awards, reflecting the quality and innovation of their work. Currently, the organisation is working with universities to implement and research board game-based learning for the development of social skills, creativity, and teamwork among university students. With a strong academic background, EIMBG applies scientific methods, contributes to quality assurance processes, and disseminates results through professional and international academic forums, supporting adult educators with practical, evidence-informed tools that foster meaningful learning and wellbeing.
