Creating Meeting Spaces: Connecting Communities Through PlayCreating

As part of WP4. Creating Meeting Spaces, the Play to Disconnect project aims to establish sustainable, welcoming spaces in Spain and Romania where families and communities can come together through modern board games. These spaces promote face-to-face interaction, intergenerational learning, and meaningful screen-free leisure experiences, ensuring that the project's impact continues beyond its Erasmus+ funding period.

Spain – Valladolid - Ludus Magnus and Distrito Zero: A Partnership for Play and Learning

Ludus Magnus (European Institute for Modern Board Games) has established a collaboration agreement with Distrito Zero Valladolid, located at Calle Toreros 4, to provide a dedicated meeting space for board game-based activities.

Through this agreement, Distrito Zero will host workshops and initiatives organised by Ludus Magnus to promote the educational, social, and recreational benefits of modern board games, particularly as a way to strengthen family relationships and encourage healthier digital habits.

The space will also serve as a venue for board game-based activities integrated into Ludus Magnus' training courses and transnational project meetings from late summer 2026 onwards, fostering experiential learning, collaboration, and intercultural exchange.

This partnership represents an important step towards ensuring the long-term sustainability of Play to Disconnect, creating a lasting local resource for families, educators, and community organisations.

Would You Like to Organise a Workshop?

Families, schools, parent-teacher associations, NGOs, and other organisations interested in discovering the potential of modern board games can request tailor-made workshops adapted to their specific needs, participants, and educational or social objectives.

Whether your goal is to strengthen family bonds, encourage intergenerational interaction, or explore innovative learning opportunities, Ludus Magnus can help you design a meaningful experience through play.
